I have just spent the past 4 years building the Creative Team of Rhone, a men’s premium performance lifestyle brand. I was the first in-house designer they brought on, and I singlehandedly carried out all of the creative needs of the brand for the first 2 and a half years. My work ranged from email design, catalog design, UX design, print/digital ads, retail signage, in-studio product photography, lifestyle photography, and any other creative need there was.
I then became the Art Director where I hired and trained 2 designers who carried out most of the day to day design tasks under my direction. I continued to carry out the execution of larger projects, such as UX and catalog design and of course lifted where I stood in cases where bandwidth for the team was limited. I also continued to lead the content creation side of things, by either shooting myself or directing photographers and videographers that I had sourced.
Recently we had grown to the point where we decided to try and have members of the team niche into specific areas. With one of the most important areas of design for an e-commerce brand being UX design, I transitioned into devoting myself solely to improving the shopping experience for customers on Rhone.com. My efforts were unfortunately cut short as I was recently let go due to the tragic effects of COVID19 on the company.
