Octane AI is an all-remote and venture-backed startup seeking a Demand Generation Manager interested in developing the future of ecommerce. Octane AI is developing conversational AI technologies that reimagine online commerce. Publicly, Octane AI is the leading all-in-one platform for engaging quizzes, data collection, and personalized Facebook Messenger and SMS automation for Shopify and Shopify Plus brands. Octane AI provides a unified platform for connecting, converting, and retaining customers. Octane AI’s current and upcoming products democratize personalization and automation technologies previously only available to multi-billion dollar corporations. Ecommerce is exploding and so are we! Octane AI is seeking a fast-moving, digitally-savvy Demand Generation Manager to join our growing marketing team. You will report to the VP of Marketing and have a high-profile role with responsibility for developing and executing our demand generation strategy and ensuring we maximize the yield of those programs. You’ll need to support an exciting, multi-faceted go-to-market approach that drives both self-service and sales-supported acquisition models. You are as excited as we are to build a scalable demand engine from scratch, and are metrics-driven, smart, adaptable, and passionate about innovating at a fast pace at a high-growth company. Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and execute measurable and scalable demand generation programs across digital and offline channels, that deliver both self-serve customers and qualified leads for our sales team.-Collaborate with your marketing & sales colleagues to optimize lead nurturing and lead scoring programs that maximize the effectiveness of your top of funnel programs.-Implement a strategy for continuous testing and optimization using A/B and multivariate testing methodologies and tools.-Develop and maintain dashboards and identify KPIs, leading indicators, attribution models to support your robust measurement philosophy.-Recommend and manage budgets - make the business case for what’s needed to test new ideas, then what it takes to scale and maintain target LTV/CAC ratios.-Be the hands-on doer to create and execute your programs, but also know when and how to seek support if needed, evaluating and making recommendations about agencies, tools, and contractors to help scale and still meet ROI objectives.-Stay curious, keep current on, and be the internal champion for trends, best practices, new tools, and innovation in your space.-Be ready to throw on other hats to help take advantage of new opportunities that arise - we are a small but growing team that works collaboratively to make sure all good ideas can see the light of day.
This could be a good fit if you:
-Have roughly 3-6 years of hands-on experience driving demand and scaling growth, ideally in a fast-growing B2B SaaS organization.-Are technically proficient and self-sufficient with all the major digital channels and tools, from Google Ads to all the social platforms, including search, video, display, retargeting, podcasts, etc., and know how to set up campaigns, ads, tracking, and targeting from soup to nuts.-Love tinkering with all the levers that can help optimize performance (audience targeting, copy, landing pages, CTAs, offers, etc.).-Are well-versed in the SaaS-speak of performance metrics (CAC/LTV, conversion rates, CPL/CPA, MRR/ARR, negative revenue churn, etc.).-Have deep empathy for your sales team - you know you only win when they win-Possess a balance of right and left brain prowess, and can marry metrics and insights to drive your decision making and strategies.-Are excited to wake up each day to see the results of your work from yesterday.-Would be bored in an environment that was anything but blazing fast.-Are not afraid to think outside of the box to move the needle.-Don’t take yourself too seriously, and love to have fun while working hard.-Bonus points for experience in ecommerce, and the Shopify app store and ads ecosystem.
